Dear Arunish, this is in addition to what Jyoti has said. The lack of soft skills among students is an inherent problem of our education system. Hardly any efforts are made to build these skills within our education system, which is highly oriented towards theory papers. Consequently, the system tends to produce students who are overly focused on books, turning them into bookworms. This, in turn, has led to the proliferation of coaching centers in every nook and corner of most cities.
Therefore, it is not just a skills gap, but rather a skills valley that exists. The last sentence of Jyoti's reply is "And this can't happen in a day or a week or a month; it's a process." Indeed, this is a process that should start right at the primary level of school. The question then arises, who will take the initiative?
Thanks,
