Govt has introduced Payment of Wages (Amendment) Bill 2017 in Lok Sabha on 3.2.2017 to replace Payment of Wages (Amendment) Ordinance 2016 which provides for payment of wages through banking channels.

We all know that from now onwords we have to pay workers wages through cheque or crediting in bank account but i want to know how much minimum amount we can pay in cash in civil works i.e construction works i m from Maharashtr

The Bill has been passed by Lok Sabha yesterday. Today it is proposed to be passed by Rajya Sabha.

Rajya Sabha has also passed the Bill today. Now it will go to President for his assent and then notified in the Gazette.
