Is It Fair for a Boss to Shout or Discriminate Against Employees at Work?

Dear Experts,

I want to know about the behavior of a boss. Can he/she shout at any employee at work? Can he/she make any type of worst comments about any employee? Even when we already do our best at the work given, we only receive feedback every time. There are instances where some other employees doing the same thing are appreciated while we are not. Can a boss judge an employee with discrimination? Can he/she threaten an employee even for mistakes?

Kindly reply to me on these aspects.

The replies to your questions are obvious, and there is no need to write these per se. Nevertheless, who is the "boss" that you are referring to? Is he a business owner or a paid employee?

Abrasiveness of Managers

Abrasiveness of managers is common across the spectrum of industries and categories of companies too. Top leadership often rubs juniors the wrong way, and by doing so, they destroy the motivation of the employees. Little do they realize that because of their coerciveness, employees may bow and scrape. However, their obsequiousness is superficial, and in their hearts, these very employees hate their boss. This fosters a culture of negativity. Why doesn't every company become a corporation? One of the reasons is the failure of leadership to foster a healthy interpersonal environment.

Changing Your Boss

Nobody can change his/her boss. Therefore, if you think that one fine day, he will have an epiphany about his bad behavior and will reform himself, then it will be a wild goose chase. These things look good only in TV serials. Better bide your time in the current company. You may bide your time in the company and then quit. That is the only option that you will have.
