Karkuvelkamaraj
Dear Sir
My company is a MNC and joined 8 Years before and eligible for gratuity . Can I show the Gratuity is a Part of my CTC?
My company is not deducting any amount in my salary including gratuity premium amount.

You as an employee can not decide what comes or does not come in CTC.
It is for the HR to decide.
In most cases gratuity is a part of CTC.
And yes, no Comoany is allowed to deduct any amount from salary for gratuity

Thanks for your reply.
But my question is can I show the Gratuity in my CTC at the time of joining the new company?

Dear Karkuvel,
Your company must have issued appointment letter at the time of joining. In the appointment letter, they must have mentioned the various components of salary. You may show the appointment letter if your future employer asks for it. Most important is salary slip. You may show the salary slips for the last three months. That is the prevailing procedure.
Thanks,

Dear Karkuvel,,
You are free to show Gratuity amount as component of present CTC. nothinhg wrong in it. In a new organizations, your GRATUITY meter will be on ONLY after 5 years .You should show CTC break up while talking remuneration matters at salary negotiation before HR but no point when you report for joining. Because once remunerations part is frozen, offer issued , signed by you and company, nobody will listen.

Have never come across wherein employee shows Gratuity as part of CTC, since one becomes eligible only after completion of 5 years and it is not paid monthly/annually it is paid on the termination of the service. Further it is given as a gratitude towards the employee for being with the company as a long serving employee of not less than 5 years. It is up to you to show it as a part of CTC or not, but as per my view it is not advisable

Dear Mr. Karkuvel Kamaraj,
Greetings ..........
I will go with the comments of Mr. Saswata Banerjee & Mr. R.D.S Yadav put together. It is true that you are free to put the Gratuity element while mentioning your Gross Salary in an application for a fresh appointment, but keep in mind that Gratuity is a payment against "Goodwill" that you create with your Employer. In case, whatsoever, if the Goodwill is broken, you Employer may deduct a part or may refuse to pay you Gratuity on cessation of service.
Regards,
