Curious About the UAN-Based ECR Update? Seeking Insights from Fellow Members

srprajapati
Dear Seniors, Has there been any update regarding the UAN-based ECR? I'm asking because the EPFO recently declared that the ECR will now be based on the UAN number. If any of you have information about this, I\'d appreciate it if you could share it.

Best regards,

EPFO News

With effect from December 1, 2016, the PF Monthly Challan will be prepared based on the UAN Number, which was previously prepared based on the PF Number.

ECR Version 2 is likely to be launched on December 1, 2016.

Employers will not have to wait for the ECR to be filed to submit Form 5 and Form 10 details.

There will be a unified portal for Employers, Employees, Citizens, and EPFO Staff.

The system is UAN-based, so it can only be uploaded when a UAN is allotted to the member. Employers can generate a UAN for their employees on the date of joining itself.

There is a provision for checks and corrections by the system, thus greatly reducing the requirements for revision and rejection of paid ECR files.

To upload the ECR, employers have to enter the date of disbursement of salary. Once uploaded, the system will check for validation errors for the employer to rectify and upload the file afresh. If successful, a PDF will be generated, displaying the member-wise details, and the employer has to verify the data.

There is an option to reject the data if it is incorrect. Once the PDF is verified, the TRRN will be generated for the said file. Only then will the employer be able to prepare the challan.

The payment link will be available against the finalized challan, and payment can be made anytime through online mode. The file will not expire.

If we do not have the UAN of all employees, what is the procedure to file the ECR.

Dear All,

Can anyone tell me about the details of the employee who has left? In the last ECR, we had the option to mention the departure date for any employees, but in the new ECR format, where can we input the details of the departed employee? Also, please provide information on the new portal site for EPFO.

Thanks in advance.

Please help. How do I validate ECR with the new version for an exempted trust? In an exempted trust, can I show data for EPF contribution? Will it not include admin/inspection charges?
Murali Mohana
What are the admin charges and inspection charges percentages under Account 2 and Account 22 in the revised ECR?

Dear Sir,

How to update missing details of employees in the new UAN Portal?

Hi all, Please update me with the ECR sample text file for uploading in the case of EXEMPTED UNITS.

Hi,

UAN-based new ECR filing is very easy. Any employee not allotted the UAN should go to the new ECR register member details. Single or bulk UAN is generated in a few seconds.

Can anyone send me the bulk Excel format for obtaining a new UAN number from EPFO?
