Confused About PL/EL Calculation: Should Extra Weekend and Holiday Work Count?

I'm Jigisha. I need to know whether we should take into consideration the extra days worked on weekends or public holidays when calculating PL/EL. Sometimes, for this extra work, the company provides compensatory offs, which is causing confusion for me. I'm unsure whether we should count those extra working days as working days for PL calculation or not. Please guide me.

You can check your HR policies and go through general rules and regulations. Most companies provide compensatory offs, which are valid for up to 60 working days.

Also, see your respective Shops and Establishment Act. There are provisions pertaining to casual leaves along with comp-offs. Regards must be made to the Factories Act if the employer is a factory. These are the minimum leaves that are to be given. See the website below.

No count C/OFF or PH working days in EL... because employees get benefits in the future and not on the same date.
