Woman Employee On Maternity Leave - What Proportion Of The Salary Will Be Paid To Her?

Dear All,
Please let me know when a woman employee is on maternity leave for six months, what proportion of the salary will be paid to her? What is the norm for a private limited company in India,where all the employees are contractual staff? Is it Basic+DA+HRA or gross salary including other allowances or only basic pay?

What is the Act applicable to her? IIs I the ESI Act or the Maternity Benefit Acct

She is not coming under ESI. Maternity benefit Ant is applicable to her.

Basic pay + Dearness Allowance + HRA + Incentive bonus if any

In our salary structure there is other allowance and medical allowance including the above portion. Will it be deducted from her salary? Means Med Allowance and other allowance???

no deduction will be done and you have to pay all the allowance which you have in gross actualy you have to pay her gross salary.
