How to Resolve a PF Number Mix-Up: Seeking Advice on Zero Balance Issue

Hi all,

I am working in a private company. I had an issue with my PF number at the time of joining. After a few months, I checked my PF account and noticed that it is showing a different name. I immediately informed our HR department, and they verified that the same PF number (which was assigned to me) had been allocated to another employee. Subsequently, they created a new PF number in my name and sent a letter to the PF department. However, the balance in the new PF account shows zero, despite having the correct PF number.

I kindly request your suggestions for a solution to this matter.

Please ask HR to submit Form 3A (revised) to the EPF office for the years of dispute for your account number. The department may ask for some more clarification to adjust the same.
