Should I Accept a Contract Offer from Wells Fargo with a Chance of Going Permanent?

I received an offer from Wells Fargo on a contract basis for 8 months. They mentioned that if my performance is good and if there are any vacancies at that time, I can become permanent. Otherwise, I may have to leave the organization. So, please advise me on whether I should accept the offer or not.
