Can We Hire Casual, Temporary, or Apprentice Workers? Understanding ESIC, EPF, and Legalities

Hi All,

We are a private limited company engaged in trading telecommunication equipment with an annual turnover of around 100 crores. Can we employ staff of any of the following natures?

1. Casual Employee
2. Temporary Employee
3. Probationary Employee
4. Apprentice

If yes, are ESIC & EPF applicable to them? And most importantly, which law covers the terms and regulations of such employment?

You can appoint all of them as per your needs, and all of them are covered in principle by ESI & PF Acts except apprentices appointed under the Apprentices Act 1961.
