How Can Employees' Parents Access ESI Benefits When Living in a Different City?

In my company, there is an employee working in Chennai who is covered by ESI. His parents live in their native place, and they wish to receive treatment through ESI.

What is the procedure for this?

First, you need to check by logging into the employer portal of ESIC to determine the dispensary where your employee is eligible for treatment. Then, you have to enroll the employee's parents' names if they have not already been updated.

Are the employee's parents' monthly income less than Rs. 5000? (This includes any income.) If yes, then you need to issue an income certificate for their parents stating that it is less than Rs. 5000/-, which needs to be signed by the authorized signatory person as well as the IP.

Also, please ask the IP to obtain an entitlement certificate.
