Transitioning from HR to Psychology: Is a Master's Degree in Mumbai Feasible?

Nishita2606
I have completed an MBA in HR from Mumbai University and have worked in recruitment and HR in Mumbai for a while. I am now looking to transition my career and pursue a path in psychology. I am interested in knowing if it is feasible to pursue a master's degree in Psychology from Mumbai. Additionally, I am curious about any institutes that offer part-time or online courses in the field. Could you provide information on the shortest course available to achieve this goal?

Dear friend,

It is not a question of acquiring a degree or doing some course in psychology. You also need to be clear about what comes after obtaining the certificate. How many companies employ psychologists in the HR department? What are the chances of career growth?

Talk to HR, and many will tell you that they receive step-brotherly treatment. While many may pretend that they like to deal with people, scratch a little, and you will find their frustration. Please do not ignore this fact!

Thanks,

Hi Dinesh,

I know about the scenario in corporates you are talking about, but I do not want to continue in the corporate sector. I want to switch over to clinical counseling, and I am looking for the shortest duration course to do the same.

Thanks for your reply.
