I have been working in HR for the past 12 years. I started my career as a Recruiter and then transitioned into a Generalist role. For over 8 years, I have been working in the Non-IT industry in Chennai and I am currently based in Bangalore. I am currently seeking a job change. However, whenever I apply for HR positions in the IT industry, consultants and HR professionals from that sector often respond by stating that they specifically require HR professionals with IT industry experience.
I am genuinely curious about the perceived differences between HR roles in the IT industry versus the non-IT industry. I would greatly appreciate your insights on this matter.
