Dear Seniors, I am a bit confused and I want your suggestion on what should I do. I am currently working in a small IT company as an HR since last 1 year and here I have to handle each and everything but now I am getting an offer of a big IT company as a Sr. HR Executive and here I am confused whether I should move or not because right now I have a lot of responsibilities in my current company and also I am a bit afraid of the new environment of a big company please guide me what to do whether to move or to stay in the current company. Thanks in advance.

Dear Riya,
Your anxiety is understandable. Fear of unknown is common to all. Nevertheless, we need further clarification on your post.
You have written that you "handle each and everything". Further you have written that "you have lot of responsibilities". What exactly in HR do you do? Can you specify? Secondly, if the "big IT company" has given you offer then they must have promulgated the Job Description (JD). Your interview also must have taken place based on JD. Even then also why do you have the confusion? Did interviewer ask JD specific questions?
Working in big companies is always better. Firstly it will give you chance to work under some Manager. He/she is expected to guide you or correct you. Secondly, you may make lateral movement in order to learn various facets of HR. Job rotation within HR will help you to groom yourself to handle future positions.
Thanks,

Dear Dinesh Sir,
Thank you so much for your suggestion. I have confusion of what to do i mean i dont know whether i could handle big staff or not and "each and everything i have to handle" means their office, their staff, their accounts also And "i have lot of responsibilities means" i am doing more than what hr do because my sir used to come after 2pm in the office so till that i have to handle from small issues to big matters. Thats why i am but worry about who will handle these things after me if i resign.
Thanks & Regards,
Riya

Dear Riya,
In your second reply also specifics are missing. Secondly, has your interview been over? Have you got offer letter? While selecting, interviewer must have seen some positive features of your candidature. That is why he has selected you.
There is nothing like "big staff". Therefore, have no worry on that count. Lastly, I appreciate your concern on continuity fo the work after your exit but then this is the lookout of owner of your company and not yours. Therefore, do not worry unnecessarily. Be concerned about your career progression and nothing more than that!
Thanks,
Dinesh Divekar

Dear Riya,
Change is the law of nature and God has plans for everyone.Company was working without you,Company will work without you. Dont get too much attached with any organization.Secondly I think 1 year is very less time to switch secondly I am having instinct that you lack confidence.
So I would like to advise you to sit calmly and carefully analyze all factors and KPA of both profiles and decide accordingly.
Best of Luck !!!
