Is the Bonus Act Applicable to a Firm with 17 Employees Under the Shop and Commercial Establishment Act?

Dear Seniors,

Our firm is registered under the Shop and Commercial Establishment Act with 17 employees. Please let me know whether the Bonus Act is applicable to our firm or not.

In our opinion, your establishment is not covered under the Payment of Bonus Act, 1965 as you are not employing twenty or more employees in an accounting year.
