There must always be two-way communication. If a person applies for leave, an automated leave request should be sent to the concerned line manager/section in charge, HR, and approving authority. Upon approval or rejection, the same information must be communicated to the applicant, line manager, and HR.
Additionally, biometric attendance can be implemented, which can be used for payroll preparation. In cases of absence, non-punch, or mis-punch, the respective person should be informed on a monthly basis. The power to regularize such occurrences must be given to HR after due verification.
