Seeking Motivation and Guidance in HR Transition
I would like to share my feelings with you all and ask for some motivation. I have recently joined a small software start-up company, working in the HR team. Prior to this, I was part of a recruitment team for a year as an HR Recruiter. When I joined this company, I was expecting a different role involving core HR activities. However, the company primarily focuses on software development in the IT industry and is now expanding into staffing as an additional business.
I have realized that I will once again be primarily involved in recruitment activities, which has left me feeling upset as I was hoping to learn more about core operational activities. Additionally, as the only HR personnel, I am solely responsible for handling core activities for our employees. Despite this, I am struggling to motivate myself. I seek your advice on how to overcome this mindset. With only around 1.5 years of experience, I am still eager to transition into a core HR role.
I understand that recruitment is a fundamental process in HR, yet I find my mind constantly distracted, almost feeling like I am in a BPO setting, constantly calling candidates. I am attempting to change this perspective but have been unsuccessful so far. I kindly request strong points and motivation to help me navigate this challenge, as I firmly believe that without passion and interest, it is difficult to excel in any job. I am determined to give my best to my company, my boss, and my work.
I eagerly await your response. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Anuradha S.
