What Can You Do If Your Company Refuses an Annual Increment? Legal Options Explored

Can anyone suggest to me a scenario where a public or private company is not ready to give an annual increment? Can we take legal action in such a situation? In any public or private company, if they reject or are not ready to provide an annual increment to an employee...

There is no law which mandates annual increments for employees. However, all progressive and well-run companies do provide annual increments during annual appraisals, etc. Government/Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) have annual increments as part of their wage policy. Therefore, the question of taking legal action in the case of a private company does not arise. The Minimum Wages Act is reviewed at six-month intervals, and all companies are required to comply with the stipulated daily wages.
