How Will the National Civil Aviation Policy 2016 Impact Airfare and Regional Travel?

Please find attached the National Civil Aviation Policy 2016 issued by the Government on 15.6.2016. It provides for a cap on airfare of Rs.2,500 per passenger for distances of 500 to 600 kms (equivalent to about 1 hour of flight) on routes covered under the Regional Connectivity Scheme, which will come into effect in the second quarter of 2016-17.
