I submitted my EPF return on May 26th last year and received the acknowledgment. However, I have not received any SMS or updates from them yet. My friend claimed his amount last month and received it within 5 days. Can someone clarify this for me?

Are you looking for a specific update? Do you mean confirmation of the remittance of payment? Sometimes, it may take up to a month, but the CRN would have already been generated.

Why do you want an SMS or email when all information is visible in the PDF once you log in?

Take your acknowledgment number provided on the acknowledgment receipt and check the status with the help desk at the PF office.
