Hi all seniors,

In today's time, HR organizes various employee engagement activities in companies. Could you kindly suggest what the purposes of these activities are, aside from stress relief?

Regards,
Priyanka

In the last 2-3 days, there have been several queries on this subject. I have replied to the query on Employee Engagement. Click the following link to refer to it: https://www.citehr.com/562428-employees-engagement.html

I am yet to come across an HR or Training professional who has measured the effectiveness of engagement activities. If measurement was done, it was based on assumptions, and ROI is never measured.

If some games are conducted to reduce stress, then no training professional has measured the increase in productivity because of stress reduction. The cost or revenue saving because of stress reduction is not known.

The essence of Employee Engagement does not lie in workplace games but in the mental affiliation to the company. However, HR professionals have a penchant for going with the flow rather than questioning efficacy. Hence the fad!

Thanks,

To the maximum extent, the "teamwork" part is also crucial. A break from the routine can boost the productivity of a rejuvenated employee. It provides an opportunity for management to understand the behavioral aspects of the employee and implement development or corrective actions.

Thank you, and let me know if you need further assistance.
