Guidance on Establishing an HR Department and Implementing HR Policies

Sonal Vaghela
Dear Seniors,

I am new to my organization, working in a rubber product manufacturing company, and here no one knows what HR is. I am really confused about what to do in this situation. Now, my Managing Director wants me to handle all departments and make the work systematic, even though we do not have proper departments. We have 121 employees in our organization. Please help me.

Regards,
Sonal

Hi Sonal,

First of all, you should divide our workers into sections to determine which department they work in. By doing this, you can make better decisions and easily understand who works in each section. This will also help you calculate attendance more easily and smoothly.

Hi Sonalji, 17.5.16.

Congrats! You've got a good opportunity to showcase your talents in a Manufacturing Company. With 121 employees in the company, it is easy to sort them out. They are already working in various departments and reporting to different Heads of Departments such as Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Utilities, Raw Materials, Stores, Purchase, Marketing, and Accounts. Categorize them under specific departments to determine the strength of each department, based on categories and designations, like Senior Manager/Engineer, Technician, Junior Engineer/Technician, etc. Follow simple steps to codify, open personnel files, and manage all HR functions.

I can provide you with all HR rules, policies, procedures, and forms to establish HR policies for managing your human resources effectively.

I have set up HR departments, framed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), HR Manuals, Leave and Service Rules, and various HR job forms in soft copy for easy adoption in new companies. These materials were developed after comparing the rules, policies, and forms of reputable companies.

With 35 years of experience in HR, Industrial Relations (IR), Legal, and Administration across seven manufacturing companies including Steel, Power, and Electronics plants with over 2000 employees, I am well-equipped to assist you.

Please provide your email address to receive detailed information on 65 HR forms and 150 policies that will help you solve most of your HR-related issues. Once you find them useful, you may consider paying a minimal fee for the specific policies or formats you require, and in turn, support our consultancy services.
