Iam Sorry for the above text, to say clearly in my concern HR teams gives data like attendance, LOP, Stop payment, Superannuation, Promotions etc. the salary details are done by the payroll team so after the salary process they distribute the payslip to the employees.

The responsibility depends on what the company management structure is.
As per law, wage slip is to be provided one day before payment of wages. Or at least with the wages if paid in cash. In that case, time office / pay roll department should be giving out the pay slip
If you are paying by a bank transfer, then the person giving the transfer or the HR department should be given the task.

Dear Mbhanuri... its employees responsibility to collect pay slip from HR Department. not HR or finance....

Dear Mbhanuri
Payslip distribution is prime responsibility of HR department. HR has ownership of salary data. This department is in best position to know Salary and Time details of employees used for salary processing.
The distribution can be company policy.
In your case, decide who will be signing Salary Certificate to employee for any loan requirements, Form 16 at FY end. The same department will be responsible for payslip distribution

Few months before there was same type of query was noted by somebody. Whose responsibility of signing of for 16 for employees.
Actually this is joint responsibility of both the department.
You will have to speak to your management and get the distinct decision on the work distribution.
It is unwanted made issues. Sorry no body should heart on this statement.
When the salary working is done correctly and finance as well as hr has checked the sheet. Then the sending the salary slip is on click issue.
