Understanding Grampanchayat NOC Renewal: What Happens If We Skip It?

Hi, I am Vikas, working in a manufacturing company in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra. While issuing an NOC to our company for performing manufacturing activities, the Grampanchayat has included a clause for renewing it periodically. Some experts have suggested that the Grampanchayat NOC is valid for a one-time issuance and does not need to be renewed. What will be the consequences if it is not renewed? Kindly share your thoughts.

Please confirm the following:

a) When did you apply for the NOC?

b) When was the NOC issued, and what is the longevity of the NOC? When does it need to be renewed?

c) What about the neighbors in the area where your manufacturing unit is located? Have they been issued a permanent NOC, or does it have a time limit?

Since the NOC has already been issued, I recommend that you wait for the next renewal. At that time, ask for the permanent NOC. It seems that by imposing a time limit on the NOC, the Gram Panchayat would like to ensure that owners of the manufacturing units visit their offices after a certain time period. These visits are necessary for obvious reasons.
