Dear Anjali,
Workforce standards cannot be universal as these vary from one industry to another. How can we compare workers of garment industry and cement industry? Within the company, also the comparison becomes difficult. This is because the productivity depends on level automation, how far the workers are skilled etc.
Nevertheless, within the industry, we can do some comparison. For steel industry it can be production of steel in tons per person. For aviation industry or airlines it can be number of persons employed per aircraft.
Thanks,
