What are the minimum qualifications needed for the post of accident and discipline head in a pharmaceutical company,also what are the major functions of this role.

Please select a Safety Professional for this vacancy who is having some knowledge on labour laws, so that he can take care of accident cases (including the reporting to Govt authorities) as well as Discipline of workforce i.e., Labourers engaged.
For staff related discipline matters will be dealt by HR Department itself.

For accident and disciplinary head, better opt for retired personnel from Defence/Police personnel, who can do good for your company. The disciplinary proceedings can be met out by human resource personnel. However, for fire fighting equipments, building safety etc., you have to obtain building safety certificate from the Fire Department, certainly they will help you out with guidelines.

There is no specific qualifications are needed to appoint a accident and discipline head post. The person who are qualified in the field of Personnel Management and Indl .Relations are efficient to handle both the posts provided with the experience if fresher taken, time will take to improve and inter act with the incidents. Accident matters even can be handled by a Manager of the Factory and follow the rules under Factory Act. The discipline shall be purely of HR personnel.
