Feeling Stuck After 10 Years at My Bank: Should I Stay or Move On for Career Growth?

I have been working for a private bank for the past 10 years. I was always appreciated for my good work since inception with the bank. My promotion for the first time was delayed for 1 year due to the bank's policy. I built up the portfolio to the best in the first three years and was rewarded for the same. I could not single-handedly handle the portfolio and requested the management for additional workforce, for which the management failed to support. In the subsequent years, I could not manage the portfolio and could not reach my targets, resulting in being penalized. My ratings were degraded, and my possibility of promotion was delayed for 2-3 more years.

Subsequently, I have been transferred to another location, and my earlier position was replaced by 4 officers. I have represented the same to my supervisors, department heads, and HR that I was handicapped for not meeting the budgets, which was evidenced by the need for 4 officers instead of one. I received no response for years. After relocating to a new place, I never stopped my performance and achieved my budgets, topping the region. Unknowingly, my rating was downgraded without any reason, and my requests to top management for clarification went unanswered for years. My ratings and promotions were severely affected due to various unknown reasons for which the management remains silent.

What can I do to have a better career within the organization, or should I consider leaving? Kindly provide your suggestion.

Dear Representations, you have written a summary of your career spanning ten years. However, when your bank did not promote you, why did you cling to your current organization? You could have left the bank long ago. Even with promotions, people often leave their organization between 3-5 years. By now, a few others who joined along with you could be doing their third or fourth job.

If you had timely understood in which direction the wind was blowing, you would not have put yourself into this unwieldy situation. Anyway, even now, it is better to leave the organization. But then, recuperating career losses could be difficult.
