Hi
I have been working in organisation in ncr and my last date was 29-jul but i left on 15 jun and joined new company on 20th june
and i told new company that i dont want to transfer rahter open new account. will this have any impact on my job
nathrao
Why did you say open new PF a/c without knowing whether there will be effect on your job?
At least one could have done some homework on this aspect.
Opening of second EPF a/c will not affect your job, but the first EPF amount cannot be withdrawn while you still working.
After 36 months the accumulations in first PF a/c will stop giving interest.
Best thing you can do is to transfer your EPF a/c and obtain a UAN number.

Dear Amit_thakker,
If your first service is less than 5 years and PF accumulation is equal to or above Rs. 30,000, PF withdrawal will attract Income Tax.

hello
thank you so much for reply, actually got scared so thought of opening a new pf account. can my old employer will get to know where i have joined i mean which new company.
nathrao
Why should you bother if the old employer knows where you are presently employed?
It is your right to change jobs.
Obtain UAN through your employer for your PF a/c.
