Hi,
I have been working in an organization in NCR, and my last date was 29th July, but I left on 15th June and joined a new company on 20th June. I informed the new company that I do not want to transfer but rather open a new account. Will this have any impact on my job?
Thank you.

From India,
Why did you say open a new PF account without knowing whether it will have an effect on your job? At least one could have done some homework on this aspect.
Opening a second EPF account will not affect your job, but the first EPF amount cannot be withdrawn while you are still working. After 36 months, the accumulations in the first PF account will stop giving interest. The best thing you can do is to transfer your EPF account and obtain a UAN number.

Dear Amit_thakker, If your first service is less than 5 years and PF accumulation is equal to or above Rs. 30,000, PF withdrawal will attract Income Tax. Abbas.P.S

Why should you bother if the old employer knows where you are presently employed? It is your right to change jobs. Obtain UAN through your employer for your PF a/c.

Hi,
Yesterday, I learned from my old company colleague that they have set my last date as June 17th. However, in my new company, I have informed and shown them that my last date was June 15th. So, if my PF withdrawal does not work out, how will I transfer my PF? The PF form requires the last date of working and joining date. My joining date is the 20th, which is fine. But what should I put as my last working date since there is a 2-day difference? I need to submit this information to the HR of my new company. Will I still be able to transfer my PF?
Thank you.
