Dear Sanchii, I appreciate your learning attitude. You may not get immediate rewards from learning, but you will surely receive them.
There are a number of videos on YouTube. You can learn business etiquette, listening skills, questioning skills, negotiation skills, and interpersonal skills by watching these videos. A lot of material is available on these subjects on the internet. Whatever type of job you do, all these skills are essential for one's professional growth.
Professional Reading and Application
Now you are not a student. You are a professional. Therefore, this time your reading will be from a professional point of view. As you start reading chapter after chapter, you need to recollect instances that happened in past employment and find out if you can relate them to the theory of communication, motivation, leadership, and so on. Many MBAs fail because they do not establish a relationship between what's happening around them and the theory they had/have learned.
Further Reading Recommendations
Have you done an MBA? If yes, then it is time for you to refer to book(s) on Organisational Behaviour. If you are not an MBA, then you may buy any book on "Organisational Behaviour." No need to buy a brand new book. Even a second-hand one will do. In addition to this, you may read the following books:
- "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen Covey
- "You Can Win" by Shiv Khera
- "What Got You Here, Will Not Get You There" by Marshall Goldsmith
All the best!
Regards,
Dinesh Divekar
