Can You Have PF Deductions from Both Full-Time and Part-Time Jobs? Seeking Advice

schatterjee.micl@gmail.com
Dear sir,

Please suggest what to do in the following case.

A person "A" is working as a full-time employee in an establishment "X" where PF contribution is deducted from his salary. The same person is also working on a part-time basis in an establishment "Y" which is also covered under PF. The question is whether PF contribution will also be deducted from the salary/remuneration drawn from establishment "Y."

Thank you.

Dear Mr. Vishram18,

Thank you for your response. "X" and "Y" are two different establishments, each with its own P.F. code number. I am eagerly awaiting your reply.

Kind regards,

If your establishment is covered under the PF Act, even part-time employees are entitled to PF deductions. Company Y will have to deduct PF contributions for the part-time worker.

Thank you.

Dear Mr. Nathrao,

Thanks for your comments. Here is the question: in case of death in harness of the member, can the nominee claim for P.F. withdrawal, EDLI, and pension benefits for the employment in "X" and "Y" companies separately? That certainly would be a double benefit for a single incident. Is it lawful or not?

Waiting for your comments.
