Dear Mr. Agarwal,

Thank you for posting this. The hitherto IBR regulation was very old and was crying out for redress. It's good to see that opinions were sought from all concerned while making this amendment. Furthermore, it is heartening to see that all regulations from advanced countries have also been taken into account.

Hi,

Can anyone provide a detailed explanation to understand the major changes brought in by this amendment? Previously, the applicability of this act was very stringent, requiring even small boilers with a capacity of 22.5 litres to obtain a boiler inspection certificate. Has there been any change in this regard?
