To define the competencies of the warehouse personnel, first, you have to decide the ratios on which the warehouse efficiency needs to be measured. These ratios would depend on the geographical location of the warehouse, the distance between the factory and the warehouse, the equipment used, the type of product stored, the number of wholesalers or retailers it serves, the percentage of material exported, and so on. Furthermore, you need to understand the role of the warehouse in the entire supply chain. Therefore, a study of the entire supply chain is also essential.
