Seeking Career Growth: Advice Needed

I am a graduate, and I completed my graduation in 2013. Within three months, I was placed in a CMMI Level 5 company with the designation of Media Developer. The domain was based on HTML as well as support. Lately, I came to realize that there is no growth in this role. I now have 14 months of experience and have been doing the same work for a year.

I am currently searching for a new job while remaining a fresher. I have attended many interviews and have made it through the HR round in some of them, but I got rejected at the last moment. They seem to be giving more preference to recent graduates and hiring mostly from that pool, which is reducing my chances of being selected. I am feeling hopeless and frustrated about my future. I know my strengths and I am ready to prove myself, but I am not getting the opportunities.

Please provide me with your valuable suggestions; my future is in trouble.

In the last few years, jobs for freshers have decreased; however, this does not imply a complete absence of job opportunities. When you mention that "I have attended many interviews," it indicates that there are available jobs. Nonetheless, not being selected suggests that other candidates were more competitive and performed better than you.

Interview Preparation and Feedback

During your interviews, did you keep a record of the questions asked and the responses you provided? Despite attending numerous interviews, you did not receive adequate feedback on the quality of your answers, contributing to the issue.

Improving Confidence and Communication

Another aspect to consider is your confidence during interviews. Additionally, pay attention to the sequence and fluency of your responses, any stuttering, and the choice of words used.

Learning from Peers

Engage with your classmates or batch-mates. Inquire about the questions they were asked and the responses they provided. Understand why they were chosen for roles. Seeking advice from successful individuals is a valuable strategy for self-improvement.
