Labour Welfare Fund - Employee Welfare

nasn2000
Hi All,
Am working for a startup IT company at Chennai.
We have one employee working from home at Mumbai.
Do we need to count her also for Labour Welfare Fund?
If so, how to contribute her LWF amount?
We have office only at Chennai.
Please reply.
Thanks,
S.Narasimhan

Hi Narasimhan,
Kindly provide the details as below and head count details. We will prepare the returns and share you.
Please let us know if there are any unpaid accumulations (beyond 3 years ) and fines deducted (applicable in the particular quarter) from the employees. As per the provision of the Labour welfare fund act if there is any such deduction which is required to be remitted to LWF board. In case of any such unpaid wages due to an employees and older than 3 years as of 31st December 2014.

Hi,
You have to pay LWF for all employees except Managers and supervisory capacity who is drawing salary more than Rs. 15k. For 2014, You have to deduct Rs. 7/- from employee and and contribute Rs. 14/- from employer and pay it in the favour of The secretary, Tamilnadu labour welfare board.
From next year you have to deduct Rs. 10 from employee and rs. 20 from employer towards contributions for year 2015.
Attached the benefits for paying the LWF. Avail these benefits for lower level employees.

If you have less than 5 employees in Maharashtra, then LWF Act is not applicable for such employees.
