I would like to inquire as an HR professional whether an organization can post feedback or complaints about an employee leaving services unethically and unprofessionally in an HR forum, or if there is any other professional committee or group where all Human Resource experts and professionals could read such advice.
Case Example: Unethical Departure in the Hospitality Industry
One example involves a senior position personnel in our organization who was handling a very vast and important vertical in the hospitality industry. This individual left the organization without any prior notice. Initially, he stopped coming to work and gave sympathetic yet false excuses when contacted. After 15 days, once his salary was credited to his account, he sent an email stating he was unwilling to continue working. Despite being a regular and confirmed employee, he did not provide any handover of his duties and responsibilities, such as files, laptop, passwords, equipment, reports on machinery, status of current project work, purchase orders, or even the keys to his department and cabin. He also did not return belongings such as the official mobile and SIM card, company ID card, etc. Consequently, the organization and management are under pressure due to the heavy workload and have to make additional efforts to smooth things over and recover the situation.
Furthermore, he has the audacity to mention false information about his tenure and salary with us on important professional sites like LinkedIn and other job portals, which is highly unprincipled and false.
Seeking Advice on Professional Forums for Feedback
Therefore, as an employee who is well aware of employee rights, I find it difficult to connect with such immoral behavior. I would like to ask if there is any site or HR forum where we can at least post feedback about such workers so that they may not disrupt another company in the same manner, and other organizations can be assertive while recruiting them.
Please advise.
Regards,
