Understanding the 240-Day Rule for Privilege Leave: What Counts and What Doesn't?

Priyaranjan@123
Please clarify my doubt regarding the Shop & Establishment Act. When calculating the 240 days for the calculation of Privilege Leave, which days are included and excluded? Hurry, please.
R.N.Khola
As this is a state act, one has to go through the applicable State Shops & Establishments Act and rules for the calculation of earned leaves.

As Khola said, you need to refer to the state act. However, in general, all holidays and approved leaves will be counted as working days. The only exclusion will be leave without pay.

Dear Member,

240 days include the actual working days without any holidays, weekly offs, or leaves.

I second Mr. Banerjee. The only exclusion is Leave without Pay. In a nutshell, all days are included for which the salary is paid.
