On-the-Job Training (OJT) is conducted for junior employees to teach the operation of machines, the usage of tools, etc. OJT also covers soft skills such as how to answer calls, handle customers, and operate software. Additionally, OJT is organized for salespersons to monitor their sales calls. Department managers can conduct OJT, and the training department may or may not be involved. However, what is crucial is the maintenance of proper records of the OJT sessions.
I recommend that you approach a larger company to learn about the type of OJT they conduct. Your visit will be more beneficial than simply searching for information on the internet.
