Seeking Creative Ideas to Boost Brand Value and Employee Engagement in Training

cjkarthik
Dear All,

Greetings of the day. I'm working as a Senior Trainer (Soft Skills). I've been asked by my MD for two ideas on the following concepts:

1. Increasing Brand Value of the Company
2. Introducing two creative things in Internal Training
3. Developing a Positive Attitude among Employees
4. Fostering Organizational Belongingness

I kindly request your ideas and suggestions.

Thanks & Kind Regards,

C J Karthik

Though you have not mentioned what you deal with, whether it's services or products, I am suggesting that you work on increasing the brand value of your company. Firstly, you should enhance brand name recognition among the public by utilizing various publicity tools, such as social media, public activities, visits by students, and more.

For Internal Training:

- Incorporate games that teach the power of team building.
- Conduct demo case studies and other interactive activities.

Developing a positive attitude in individuals is possible when the fear factor is low. Consider conducting psychometric tests for employees to achieve this goal.

Fostering Organizational Belongingness:

Organize programs that involve employees' families. When a company shows care for its employees and their families, the employees are likely to reciprocate the same sentiment.

These are just hints. If you require detailed ideas, please feel free to email me at [Email Removed For Privacy Reasons].

Some of the things that you have been told are out of your reach as a soft skills trainer. Of the four things that you have mentioned, except for Sl. No. 2, all are part of the organization's culture. How to shape the company's culture is primarily your MD's job. Yes, soft skills training impacts the culture, but there is no permanent effect as such.

Suppose a bone is fractured in the body. To abate the pain, one may apply some balm or ointment, but then this is not a permanent solution. The fractured bone has to be fixed. Soft skills training is something like a balm. Soft skills training is a medium to create a change and not the final solution.

Paragraph-wise replies to your questions are as below:

Increasing Brand Value of the Company:

Comments: Increasing the brand value is the marketing department's job. Brand value depends on the quality of the product or services. Therefore, increase the product quality and the levels of customer satisfaction. Nevertheless, merely generating a high-quality product will not increase brand value in itself. For this, your marketing department has to devise a sound strategy for brand promotion. Lastly, your employees are the brand ambassadors in the job market. For this, you need to provide focused training during their induction phase itself.

Introducing 2 Creative Things in Internal Training

Comments: Creative or not, you should get ROI on the training. Make your participants accountable to prove that they have returned funds spent on the training. Conduct only ROI-oriented trainings and nothing else.

Developing Positive Attitude of the Employees

Comments: Employee attitude is a result of the organization's culture. The organization's culture depends on the quality of recruitment, staff training, result orientation, innovation, and so on. Top leadership plays a major role in this. You may refer to the following links for more information:

Developing Organizational Belongingness

Comments: Same reply as that of Sl. No. 3 above. Additionally, employees will show belongingness to their company provided top leadership shows belongingness to them. If the leadership leaves them high and dry, do not expect them to belong to the organization. They will also leave their company high and dry.

All the best!

Enhancing Customer Satisfaction for Brand Building

Take customer feedback and work on it to improve satisfaction levels. One satisfied customer will bring in many more, and brand building will automatically take place. Remember, customers exist both outside and internally. Ultimately, everyone around should understand the values your organization stands for.

Of course, as suggested by others, your company can also engage in various advertising strategies simultaneously.

Thank you all for the replies. The suggestions related to training have been implemented. However, there is a need to focus on other factors, especially organizational belongingness.

Once again, thank you all for the valuable input.
