What action can a company take when it finds that an employee has provided a false experience certificate and salary slip?

One of my employees has been caught with a false experience certificate and payslip. I have been instructed by my senior to take legal action against him.

Falsification of documents at the time of employment is misconduct under the provisions of the Industrial Standing Orders Act. You may take action against this employee. For this, order the domestic inquiry and terminate him. In case the employee is a probationer, then you may terminate him even without conducting the domestic inquiry.

By the way, when did the employee join? When and how was it discovered that he has falsified the certificates? Who was supposed to check the documents? Has the falsification been discovered in the normal course of duties, or was it discovered by chance? All these questions also merit your attention.
