Thank you for posting this important report. For any new project, getting MoEF clearance was always a long-drawn affair. It is gratifying to note that the 'Project Approval' is one of the points considered for streamlining. Climate Change is added to the acronym MoEF, thereby showing the new area of focus. It is quite intriguing to note that the word FOREST would get a new definition. The power to 'arrest' and the guidelines to 'appeal' seem to be new features. The above recommendations, if implemented soon, would certainly play an important role in the Prime Minister's new initiatives, namely MAKE IN INDIA and SWACHH BHARAT. Readers who have less time can start with the SUMMARY of recommendations from pages 103 to 108 given at the end of the report. Thanks once again, and we hope better days are ahead.
