I have joined as an HR Manager in a small company, and they have asked me to prepare KPIs and KRAs for myself. How can I prepare them?

Congratulations on your new job! As you are an HR Manager, you have to define your Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Simply put, KPIs are the objectives of HR and the outcomes. KPIs serve as a measurement tool to analyze whether your objectives align with the desired outputs. Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs) are the areas that need to match with your outcomes.

In your role as an HR Manager, your objective is closely linked to business growth and the strategy to enhance manpower and ensure the optimal utilization of employees. It is essential to analyze the outcomes based on the inputs you have provided and align your strategy closely with the business goals.

Thank you.

The subject of KPIs recurs time and again. Just recently, I had given my reply in a similar post. I request you to go through the following link: https://www.citehr.com/511936-pms-company.html

Though the heading of the above post is about an IT company, the reply is applicable to all industries. In the link above, you will find a few more links. I recommend you go through all the links patiently. This will help you in clearing any misgivings you may have on the subject of PMS.

Developing Competence in Designing KPIs

Developing competence in designing KPIs is a time-consuming process. It requires working with an expert. Otherwise, you may retain some misgivings, and it can be quite difficult to erase them after reaching a senior position.

Thanks,
