How Will the Upcoming Industrial DA Changes Affect Your Salary from January 2015?

Dear friends, as you know, the Industrial DA with effect from 01.10.2014 for the 2007 & 1997 scales is 98.1% and 234.5% respectively. With the release of the All India Consumer Price Index for the months of September & October 2014, the projected Industrial DA with effect from 01.01.2015 will be 98.1% (an increase of 1.9%) & 234.5% (an increase of 3.5%) respectively.

Please note that the AICPI for November 2014 has yet to be released. The final figure may vary accordingly.

With the release of the All India Consumer Price Index for the months of September, October, and November 2014, the Industrial DA effective from 01.01.2015 will be 100.3% (an increase of 2.2%) and 238% (an increase of 3.5%) respectively.

Note: In my previous post on projected DA, it was stated as 100% with an increase of 1.9% for 2007 scales. This discrepancy was due to the increase in the number of digits this time. Consequently, the last digit was hidden in my Excel sheet. I have now rectified this error.

Industrial DA Update for 2007 & 1997 Scales

As you know, the Industrial DA with effect from 01.01.2015 for the 2007 & 1997 scales is 100.3% and 238% respectively. With the release of the All India Consumer Price Index for the months of December 2014 and January 2015, the projected Industrial DA with effect from 01.04.2015 will be 100.8% (an increase of 0.5%) and 239% (an increase of 1%) respectively.

Note: AICPI for February 2015 is yet to come. The final figure may vary accordingly.
