Need Help Crafting a Business Plan for Hiring Translators Across India by Tomorrow?

needhikhurana
Hi all, I need to make a business plan for hiring candidates from all over India according to language. They will work as translators for companies in different languages and books. I need to submit it by tomorrow. Kindly send me the format or any other tips you can give me for writing a business plan for the same.

Dear Needhi,

Two things emerge from your second post. One is the volume of your requirement, and the second one is the number of languages involved in the translation. The third thing is the unsaid part of the post: How will you decide the quality of the translator?

Translation is a Serious Business

Translation is a very serious business. You need to be very careful, lest one small mistake may create significant damage.

Selecting the Translators

To select the translators, first, you need to have selectors. These selectors need to have mastery over English and the respective regional language. These selectors could be faculties from the colleges, but again, how competent these faculties are in English is a moot point.

Filtering the Applications

Secondly, filtering the applications of the translators. This will be done by selectors, but to get the applicants, you need to hire a recruitment agency that has branches all over India.

You may approach some TV news channel. Possibly, their editors may be ready to work as freelancers. But then, what type of translation is this? What is the subject? Much depends on that.

Making a Recruitment Plan

To make a recruitment plan, you need to do a lot of market research. If your superiors want it to happen overnight, then it may not be possible.

Thanks,
