Understanding Job Categories: Are Security Guards and Drivers Skilled or Unskilled?

dhirajsingh_xiss
Hi everybody,

Among security guards, cooks, office boys, store keepers, and drivers, who falls under skilled, unskilled, or semi-skilled categories? Can anybody divide this?

Thanks,
Dhiraj

Any new employee who neither has any technical or professional courses nor any experience is considered unskilled. In your case, a driver must have a proper driving license to be considered skilled; the rest are classified as unskilled if they lack experience.

You may go through the minimum wages notifications issued by the Haryana, Delhi, and UP governments to see under which of the categories, i.e., skilled, unskilled, semiskilled, these designations fall.
