Navigating Job Offers with a Past Fake Degree: What Should I Do Now?

I have been working in a company since February 2011. I submitted a fake degree at the time of joining, but later in December 2011, I completed my degree. Now, I have received an offer from another company, and they are requesting my documents. How should I proceed in this situation? Please advise me on whether I should accept this offer or not.

Before being exposed by someone, I want to expose myself. Many people are studying while working. Can we compare my case in this way?

Please submit your original certificates. If any queries arise, try to convince them by stating that you had given a verbal assurance to your previous company about completing your degree within a specific period, and they had accepted it, and you have fulfilled your promise. If the new employer accepts this explanation, you may have a chance with them. Otherwise, you should continue with your current company.

Handling Job Offers with Ethical Concerns

Have you received an offer based on the experience shown in your CV? If so, you need to be prepared to demonstrate that experience. If not, there's no need to worry. However, remember that misrepresenting your qualifications is against the ethics of any company. They will likely hesitate before enrolling you.

Be honest! Submit the real completed degree certificates and join the job. Promise never to do such things again; otherwise, you will always have sleepless nights. Best of luck and enjoy life!

It requires tremendous courage to come out and openly say, "I made a mistake," but more importantly, to say, "I want to change for the better." Go ahead, accept the offer. You are a graduate now, and hence you would not be lying. If an offer stage is already reached, then I presume that they have already interviewed you, so the possibility of them inquiring about why an organization recruited a non-graduate is very remote.
