How Should I Handle Joining a New Company Without Losing My Big Payout?

argarg
I am based in Hyderabad. Just got a job offer from a Big 5 company in Pune. I am in a soup. My current company's variable payout is on 1st December (along with November salary). This is a huge amount, close to 4 lakhs. The new company wants me to join ASAP. They are ready to buy out my notice period. However, I cannot join the new company immediately and lose out on my 4 lakhs.

Negotiating Joining Date and Compensation

Can I ask the new company that I won't join before the payout, and if they want me as soon as possible, then they should match the amount equivalent to the variable payout.

Yes, you can surely write to them and explain this loss. Good companies do compensate for any loss to the employee.
