Gazetted Holiday During Earned Leave: Should It Count as an Extra Day Off?

Leave Query: Gazetted Holiday During EL

Please help me out with this query: If someone takes 5 days of EL (11 Aug to 15 Aug), and the 5th day is a gazetted holiday (15 Aug), do we need to give one extra leave, or can we mention 11-15 Aug as the leave duration? Will this be a point in the audit?

Kindly suggest.

On 15th Aug, leave will not be considered, so there is no need to deduct salary. Instead, provide extra leave, but they will still receive their salary for 15th Aug. The total number of leaves taken will be 4.
