There are various laws such as, Shops & commercial establishments Act, Factories Act, Minimum wages act, Gratuity act, Equal remuneration act, ESI, PF, PT, Contract labour act, Leave with Wages act, Maternity benefit act etc...

Professional tax varies from state to state, with regards to TDS there is slab on income which is as under
0-200,000 NIL
200,001 TO 500,000 10%
500,001 TO 10,00,000 20%
Above 10,00,000 30%
The employee can make investment upto a maximum of Rs. 1 lac which is exempted under chapter VI
