Rejoining After Resignation: Can an Employee Use Their Old PF Number Again?

One of our employees resigned six months ago to pursue higher studies and withdrew his PF amount at that time. Now, he wants to rejoin the same organization. Can he continue with his old PF number? Are there any formalities for this purpose? Kindly provide your valuable advice.

If he withdraws the PF earlier, he cannot continue with the same number. Hence, you have to allot a new number, and the contributions have to be paid to the new number only.
